Dr. Michael H. Salinger Z”L Science Fair invites 5th -8th graders at an ATT affiliated school to ask an exciting science question and attempt to answer it by performing a real science experiment!
Science Project Requirements:
Select a testable question or hypothesis you would like to explore related to one of the following themes
Plants and animals
Energy and motion
Food and nutrition
Color and visibility
Explain why you chose this question or hypothesis
Design and carry out an experiment to produce data that supports or refutes the question/hypothesis
Present a clear analysis of how the data or experiment results inform the question/hypothesis, including a visual representation of the data/results
Create an organized trifold board (approximately 27 x 39 inches) to summarize all the above elements to present your experiment and results to judges at the live exhibitionBonus: Explain how your science topic relates to a Torah concept, and the concept should be cited from at least one Torah source.

To encourage students to apply and practice scientific thinking
To foster critical thinking and real-world problem solving
To allow students an opportunity to relate their science work to a fundamental Torah idea

Live Exhibition and Competition: Wednesday May 27 from 6:00-8:00pm at Walder Science (Adas Yeshurun Social Hall)
Prizes for 5-6 Grade Division and for 7-8 Grade Division

3rd Place $75
$25 for all entries that include all 5 components
No cost to participate
Limited to one entry per student
Students are encouraged to begin early and reach out to Walder Science or their science teacher for guidance on creating an appropriate hypothesis and experiment
